From giant sagacious trees to the wily little vines,
In the woodlands once I lived, afraid to be their dine..
My innocence had me feared and this world had me under arrest..
And there you were the streetwise lion at my rescue, the king of this forest!
The selfish of the creatures and timidest of them all,
None could make me feel so lively, until you dared to climb my wall...
For the first time I could feel the bliss to be able dance freely on my paws,
You made me feel so beautiful even though I had unmistakable flaws..
The memories to hold you close and walk throughout the greenlands..
And your promise to never hurt me and that you'd never let go my hand..
Your never ending laughter still sings inside my ears,
I too remember the bond we shared that we knew would last in oldage years..
But then you had all those dreams to capture another jungle,
Off you took your journey and you had my paper of trust and faith crumble..
Cause all you do is come by in the middle to touch me in a haste,
And fly away without any love like i am a piece of waste..
All those wellwishers and old little forestians..
Passed by just to tell your tales of victory, and that how you had turned into a vulgarian...
Couldn't you live without pouncing on all those temptress?
Didn't you remember, you had given, vows to this lioness?
Hurting herself she tried to survive this betrayal,
For all this while even in pain she had been the one who was loyal..
With broken hopes and shattered pieces of heart arranged in a typical line..
Your brave lioness again is afraid in these woodlands, for she knew, "she was already your dine".

You might've just explained the claw marks scarring a heart that once bled for someone
ReplyDeleteBut you still call her 'brave lioness' in the end...even if she is fearful again, she doesn't cease to be any less worthy. She is still the one who held such strength in herself.
That is how I take your words to be,but they're so much more than what I must make of them for you've written something that I would most likely pass on to my younger self if I could :)
